A slightly special lunch that lets you enjoy home‑style cooking from many countries, right here in Akashi.
Home cooking around the world

“I want people to enjoy authentic flavors more easily.”
“As a chef from overseas, I want to give shape to my own feelings toward cooking.”
This café was created from these thoughts.
At our café, chefs who live in Japan but come from different countries cook the same home-style dishes they used to eat regularly back home.
Not formal dishes served in high‑class restaurants, but the gentle, warm meals that mothers and families usually eat every day.
The Charm of Our Lunch Menu.
CHARM
Our dishes change every day, and the countries and flavors are also different each time.
Some days we serve curry with fragrant spices, and on other days you may find a comforting soup or a simple but addictive stir‑fried dish.
All of them are home‑style dishes from the chefs’ home countries, cooked in the flavor that they themselves want to eat.
You can casually enjoy authentic tastes that are difficult to find in Japan.

At Manmaru Cafe, you can easily meet “flavors from worlds you don’t know yet.”
Taste of the unknown world

Enjoy home‑style dishes from around the world at a relaxed pace.
We offer two kinds of daily lunch menus.
What dishes will appear is something to look forward to.
In a cozy atmosphere, you can enjoy the gentle seasonings and the aroma of spices—true “home flavors” that you rarely encounter in Japan.

You don’t need to speak English. We can talk with you in easy Japanese.
The dishes are cooked by foreign chefs who live around Akashi.
You can listen to their stories about the food, or try greeting them in a little foreign language.
Just that is enough to feel like taking a small trip abroad.

A lunch with different tastes from usual, perfect for refreshing your mind.
It is also nice when you want to have something a bit different from your everyday lunch.
By casually touching the “taste of a country you don’t know,” your afternoon will feel a little brighter.
You can come alone or with friends.
Our lunch is something you can enjoy in a relaxed mood at Manmaru Cafe.
About the foreign chefs
Introducing foreign chefs
The chefs are people from overseas who live in the Akashi area.
Their countries are different, but they all love cooking and talking with people.
It is fun to ask them about the food, about their daily life, or try speaking a little foreign language.
You can enjoy a small “mini feeling of an overseas trip.”
